ANOHANA

ANOHANA, is the short name of  "We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day", it is a 2011 Japanese anime television series. The animation was directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and produced by A-1 Pictures.The anime series has 11 episodes in total.

^Characters

Super Peace Busters

 Founded by Yadomi Jinta. The members are Yadomi Jinta, Menma, Anaru, Yukiatsu,Tsuruko and Poppo. The main purpose of Super Peace Busters is "To defend all the peace of this world."  But later on the group dismissed after Menma died.

Yadomi Jinta

 When he was a child, he was  the leader of "Super Peace Busters"and he was also very and clever and outgoing. But after the accident happened which caused Menma's death and his mother passed away, gradually he became uncommunicative and isolated. Till Menma appeared in his life again but as a ghost to ask Jinta to help her accomplish her wishes, Jinta  finally can make up for past and forget the grief of Menma's death.
He was in love with Menma till this day and he was the only person who can see Menma's spirit in "Super Peace Busters".

Honma Meiko, also called "Menma"

She is of mixed Russian and Japanese ancestry, died in an accident when she was a child. She is talkative and a person who is selfless, always consider others feeling. Menma suddenly appeared in Jinta's life ten years later but as a revenant. She asked him to help her achieve her wishes in the case that she can truly rest in peace.
Her return brings everyone of Super Peace Busters back together and fixes the relationship of them. 

Anjo Naruko, also called "Anaru"

She is a girl who is easily influence by others. When she was child, she admired Menma a lots and often imitated her. She is also a little bit jealous the relationship between Menma and Jinta. After she grows up, she went to the same high school with Jinta. Anaru usually displays a cold attitude towards Jinta when in front of other, but actually she was very concern about him.

 Matsuyuki Atsumi, also called "Yukiatsu"
 When he was a child, he had crush on Menma and made a love confession to her. But later on refused by Menma. So he holds a hateful attitude towards Jinta even till they grow up, because he thinks Jinta always have Menma around him. After Yukiatsu grow up, he is handsome, athletic and study at the best elite high school. But he is still trapped by the pass, keep missing Menma and couldn't let the memory go. 

Tsurumi Chiriko, also called, "Tsuruko"

She is a girl who is mature, calm and have good observation on others. Sometimes display a cold attitude towards others but actullay is very kind. After grown up, she went to the same elite high school with Yukiatsu. She is the closest person of Yukiatsu  and she also has feeling on him. She also knows that Yukiatsu have never forgot Menma and helps him overcome the grief.

Hisakawa Tetsudo, also called "Poppo"

When he was a child, he looks more weak and short. After he grown up, he became very tall and strong. But he is just innocent as he used to be. Instead of study high school, he used the money which he earned from taking part time job to travel around the world. He is also the person  who believes in Jinta in Super Peace Busters, when Jinta first mentioned he could see Menma's spirit.

Plot

  A group of six children whom they called themselves, " Super Peace Busters" used to play together. But after a girl of the group named "Menma", died in an accident, the rest of the children began disintegrate and gradually lost contact with each other.
  Ten years later, they all grown up and have live in different life, except for Yadomi Jinta, the boy who once was the leader of Super Peace Busters and used to be very outgoing. After Menma died, his time is like frozen. Jinta became more withdraw and uncommunicative.  He also often skip classes.

  On a summer day, Menma suddenly appears in front of Jinta again, but as a revenant. She lives with Jinta everyday, gradually Jinta finds out that the reason why Menma appears again is because she has some unfinished wishes. Only when her wishes accomplished, she can truly achieve nirvana.
So Jinta started gathers everyone of Super Peace Busters, eventhogh they have been lost contact for many years, to help Menma accomplish her wishes......

Music

The ending song of this anime, "Secret Base~ The Thing You Gave Me", is the ten years later version of  the song called "Secret Base" which original performed by ZONE. 

The voices of the song is sing by three voice dubbers of ANOHANA.
