Love★ Com (Lovely Complex), is a Japanese romance anime television series.
The animation was original from the shojo manga work illustrated and written by Aya Nakahara.
The animation was directed by Konosuke Uda and produced by Toei Animation. Love★Com total have 24 episodes and aired from 7 April 2007 – 29 September 2007.

Characters

Risa Koizumi
Risa Koizumi is a Japanese high school student. She has 172 centimetres height which she is taller than most of girls in her age. She is person who expresses her feeling directly. She is also very honest and easygoing. When she was in junior high, she was rejected by the boy she likes, the reason was that she was too tall. Since that time, she determined not to fall for boys are shorter than her. She likes to play video games. Risa also have same taste in music with Otani.

Atsushi Otani
Atsushi Otani is Risa's high school classmate. He is very short for a boy, standing only 156 centimetres. In junior high, he was rejected by the girl he like, the reason was because he was too short. Since that, he determined he would never dated girl who was taller than him. Otani joined the basketball team in high scool. He is popular among girls because of his cute face. He is also the person with strong sense of responsibility. He has the same taste in music with Risa.

Nobuko Ishihara
Nobuko Ishihara is one of Risa's close friend. She is a sweet girl that very stylish and charming.
When Risa faces love problems, she will often give her advises. She is Nakao's girlfriend that she always calls him, "darling" or "honey".

Heikichi Nakao
Heikichi Nakao is Nobuko's boyfriend and Otani's best friend. He is a easygoing person and have well-temper. He and Otani are in the same basketball team.

Chiharu Tanaka
Chiharu Tanaka is one of Risa's closest friends. Chiharu is a hard working student. She is also very shy that she strongly affraid to interact with boys. Otani once had a crush on her because Chiharu very look like his ex-girlfriend. Yet, Chiharu later met Suzuki and they became couple.

Ryoji Suzuki
Ryoji Suzuki is one of Risa and Otani's classmate. He is a quiet and courteous person that Risa at the begining had fell for him. But later on he and Chiharu fell in love and became couple.

Plots

Atsushi Otani, a high school student. He standing only 156 centimetres which was far more shorter than other boys in his age. In junior high, he was rejected by the girl he like, the reason was because he was too short. Since that time, he determined he would never fall for girl who was taller than him.

When the first semester began,  Risa and Otani their seat were arranged to sit next to each other. Owing to their contrast height, at first, they were not like each other. They could fight for any trifle things. Gradually, every one viewed them as perfect partner.

Somehow, with more days passed, Risa found that she has many common interest with Otani. Their relationship also be more close than before. At Christmas Eve, Otani didn't go to the party and spent with his ex-girlfriend. In stead, he came to see Risa and asked her to see concert together. He said cause he said he had promised with her first. Risa found that Otani was not just a friend that often stayed by her side. She may have fall for him......

The film stars Ema Fujisawa as Risa Koizumi and Teppei Koike as Atsushi Otani. The film was directed by Kitaji Ishikawa.
