The story was basic on josei manga series illustrated and written by Akiko Higashimura.

Characters
Tsukimi is an 18-year-old who came to Tokyo and wants to be an illustrator. She found a rent house call,Amamizukan, which there have five tenants also live at there. She has a great love for jellyfish. When she was a child, her mother took her to aquarium to see jellyfish. The shape of jellyfish just like princess. Her mother told Tsukimi that every girl will look like princess when they grow up, Tsukimi will also definitely become a pretty girl. Yet, Tsukimi's mother was sick and she died later on. So, when she feel sad, she will go to see jellyfish.
Kuranosuke is a boy with pretty face. He is from of a rich political family. He likes to cross-dressing in order to the chagrin of his family. He has great interest in fashion and hope to have achievement. He hides his gender and pretend to be girl in front of the Amars in Amamizukan, only Tsukimi knows his true gender.
One of the Amars. Chieko is the manager of Amamizukan. Her mother is the owner of Amamizukan. She is obsessed with dressing in traditional Japanese clothes, such as kimono. She also collects traditional Japanese dolls.
Mayaya is one of the Amars. She is strongly obsessed with Records of Three Kingdoms. She usually acts overly excited and shouts when she speaks.
Jiji is one of the Amars but with low sense of presence. She is obsessed with mature, old men.
Banba is one of the Amars. She is obsessed with all kinds of trains. She also likes to eat meat very much, even fresh meat. Her "african-look curly hair" is a natural perm.
Shū is Kuranosuke's 30-year-old half-brother. He is also the personal assistant to their father. He has a phobia of women, owing to catching his father flirt with Kuranosuke's mother at a young age.
Plots
When Tsukimi was still a child, her mother would took her to aquarium to see jellyfish. Their was so beautiful just look like wedding dress. Her mother told her, every girl will look like princess when they grow up, Tsukimi will also definitely become a pretty girl.
Yet, when she grew up, she never looks like a princess. She probably would let mother feel disappointed, Tsukimi thought and continue walked on Shibuya's street. She thought she would feel better if she came back home. The street full of fashion people which let her felt so uncomfortable.
Amamizukan, a rent house here lives five otaku girls. Otaku is a Japanese word means a person strongly obsess with something. These kind of people usually don't like to social a lots.
In Amamizukan, here every one has there own interests. They are also all afraid fashion people. If they go to places fill with stylish people or even talk to them, they will feel extremely awkward and uncomfortable. They also not allow any man go to Amamizukan. They call them as, "Amars". which means, "Nun"and Amamizukan is their nunnery. Here, they could be themselves and pay attention on their own interests.
When Tsukimi went back to Amamizukan, she felt released and peaceful again. Yet, that night she reminded her dead mother. So she went to the aquarium at town to see a jellyfish she named as, " Kurara". When she was in bad mood she often come here to see Kurara.
But when she arrived the aquarium, she saw Kurara was put in a same tub with other kind jellyfish. That kind of jellyfish will hurt Kurara. In order to rescue Kurara, Tsukimi looked in to the shop, but the clerk was a fashion guy. To save Kurara, Tsukimi talked to the clerk, but the guy wanted her to go and pushed her on the ground. At the moment, Tsukimi was hopeless and didn't know what to do. Suddenly, a glamorous, beautiful girl stood right beside her who was just look like an angel, she condemned the clerk and asked him gave Kurara to Tsukimi.
Then, the girl went home with Tsukimi together to help her settle down Kurara at the tub. But she was a fashion people, if other amars saw her they would be shock. So Tsukimi thanked to her and asked her to leave. Yet, the pretty girl said she was already very tired and lied on Tsukimi's bad, fall asleep immediately. Tsukimi had no choice but let her to stay.
The next day morning, Tsukimi woke up and suddenly reminded the beautiful lady was stayed overnight at her bedroom. But when she took a look on her, the person in front of her was not yesterday that pretty girl, instead of that, the person true gender was a male......
